One movement, many networks

Lots going on!

Amazingly inspiring time at the European Summit for Global Transformation!

I had a really good time presenting on the sunday morning and then met many many inspiring people.

Also we have appointed a CEO whom we met at the summit. Please bid welcome to Marie-noĆ«lle Keijzer who is simply amazing and will shortly be providing her bio for the blog.

Many meetings in London today

We are on the brink of announcing several new partners and several new initiatives which is exciting and there is a lot of preparation for Copenhagen.

We have recut our video down to 2 Minutes 55 seconds and we are looking to release it with in several new versions with different voiceovers.

We now have three new reforestation projects being prepared one in St Kitts, one in Zambia and one in Thailand.

The run up to Copenhagen

The Green Thing have produced an amusing little film that expresses a key sentiment that I think bears repeating.

There is a lot riding on Copenhagen and it is very possible that nothing significant happens there because people are looking for elegant solutions and frankly speaking most things that work do not start out elegant.

Deforestation has preceeded the collapse of several civilisations

Now given that today we have one huge planet wide civilization that is becoming more homogenized all the time and given we are rapidly deforesting our world is it perhaps just possible that we might have something to learn from the mistakes of ancient civilizations such as these?

Many fronts

Just a very quick update tonight.

Today we made progress on several fronts;

We began our partnership on rural radio to promote permaculture forestry education in Zambia where we will aid in the production of shows that teach local farmers how to grow more economical and economic crops.

We continued development of our proposal to begin a reforestation, permaculture and entrepreneurial school on St Kitts and Nevis.
